Welcome. I'm Christina; eighteen-year old marine conversation enthusiast. With this blog, I hope to bring awareness to the troubles our oceans and the beautiful creatures that call it home are facing. As each minute goes by we, the human race, are damaging our oceans. It is our responsibility to do what we can to put a stop to these bad habits.
WDCS is saddened by reports of yet another two grinds in the Faroe Islands. At least 196 pilot whales were killed on August 8th in Vagur on the southernmost island of Suduroy and a further 40 on August 9th.
With this grind, and the largest of the year thus far, the death toll rises to approximately 467 pilot whales killed in the Faroe Islands.
