Welcome. I'm Christina; eighteen-year old marine conversation enthusiast. With this blog, I hope to bring awareness to the troubles our oceans and the beautiful creatures that call it home are facing. As each minute goes by we, the human race, are damaging our oceans. It is our responsibility to do what we can to put a stop to these bad habits.
This photo was taken today by Runi Thomsen in the Faroe Islands located in Denmark during “The Grind.” This dolphin and whale slaughter takes place every year in the summer and is very similar to the slaughters taking place in Taiji.

Most amazing thing I’ve seen all day!
Every minute, 180 sharks are killed. This is 10 minutes of shark mortality.

Today, September 1st, marks the start Taiji’s annual dolphin slaughter. It’ll be a awesome year when this horrible slaughter is finally ended. I do hope everyone has a great time at all the Save Japan Dolphin Day events where ever you happen to be. Speak loud and strong! Remember that today is for the dolphins. We are their voices.
